Spring/Summer 2017 has seen a world of exotic colours enter into the fashion world for our homes, our wardrobes and even our stationery! From rich, paradise, bird life to Cuban tropics, with urban tribal prints thrown in for good measure, this style is not for the faint at heart but can be pretty spectacular when done well. The trend is set to continue into spring/summer 2018, with beautiful and intense exotic colours matched with island themed silhouettes. Shying away from it may well be at your own peril!
You could choose to embrace the theme and re-decorate your world in exotic, botanical style, but I think you can always inject just a little of the latest style into your home on a budget by choosing some simple accent pieces. I love a good taste of the tropics in my home and I don’t just mean a Pina Colada in hand either! Here I’ve given you access to my favourite, budget friendly home styling from the exotic movement with one simple theme – pineapples! Since the 1700’s pineapples have been a symbol of wealth and hospitality and are now firmly back on trend. Yum! (p.s If you like Pina Colada, and getting songs stuck in your head…..haha….)
